I installed Windows 10 and now my Quicken 2007 software won't run. While making account entries, I get the notice 'Quicken Launcher Has Stopped Working' and the program closes. Sometimes, I can force one entry in before the crash. I need Quicken alot more than I need Windows 10. Can this be fixed, or how can I get back to Windows 8.1?: Several weeks after my first post.
I have discovered that I can make entries using scheduled transactions. I have to modify the 'scheduled transaction' each time, but Quicken seems to accept it without crashing. I just need Quicken to last until the end of the year.then I'm switching to a nice, simple, basic account system that is not as intrusive as Quicken.

If you need further information, feel free to write to us and we would be glad to help you. Hi, I am wanting to upgrade my Windows 7 program to the free Windows 10 program. According to information I have received everything should be OK. My question is: I have Quicken 2015 already installed. My friend just bought a new computer that runs Windows 10. She has been unable to reinstall her Quicken 2015 program on the new computer. I'm almost afraid to upgrade to the 10.
I have had trouble with the Quicken in the past when I upgraded it and Quicken is difficult to reach with problems/questions. Any suggestions? I installed Windows 10 earlier this week. While there are a few things I don't like and a few I don't understand, I like the features of Windows 10. HOWEVER, I am using Quicken 2014.
Tonight when I tried to print a Reconciliation Report from Quicken, I get a message that says 'Unable to verify the active printer at the system level. Please verify the printer is turned on and try again. A common reason for the problem is that Quicken does not support the option 'Run as Administrator'. Using this option may cause you to have problems printing'.
So, I added another User to Windows 10, made that user the administrator, and then changed my user to a Standard user. Logged out and then logged back in and made sure I had the Standard user. I am still getting the message.
If I cannot resolve this, I will have to go back to Windows 7. I don't really want to, but I have to have access to Quicken reports. I print one or another almost every day. Does anyone have any ideas?
I was having the same problem with Quicken 2007 and it started about a year after I had installed Quicken on my new computer running Windows 10. Quicken would generally run intermittently but I still got the Launcher Failure message. Recently I became tired of seeing the 'SupportAssist' messages from Dell and I uninstalled the Dell app SupportAssist.
So far, Quicken is running normally as it had previously. Also some of my legacy software that I had reinstalled on the new Windows 10 started running without problems, like Winzip 14.1. There appears to be some sort of conflict with legacy software installed on Windows 10. Don't know exactly what it is, but if you have a Dell computer with their app SupportAssist, you might try uninstalling that or disabling it.

I uninstall Dell Support Assist and Dell Support Assist Agent. Made several entry in Quicken 2007. Don't seem to be any problems, like I had before - made one entry, get kick of out Quicken - over & over this would go on. You are a life saver.
